Our Care Model: How the Relationship Works

Relationship-Led Care, Done Differently

At Coxwold Homecare Services, we don’t operate like a traditional care agency.
We work with a small, trusted circle of independent, self-employed care practitioners who share our values of dignity, compassion, and consistency.

Each carer we work with is carefully vetted and chosen not just for their skills, but for their way of being. Care is personal. It should feel safe, familiar, and respectful.

You are never “passed around” or treated as a task on a rota.

Independent Carers, Supported by Us

Your care is provided directly by a self-employed care practitioner.
They work independently, bringing their own experience, professional judgement,

and autonomy to your care.

Coxwold Homecare Services acts as:

  • A care coordinator

  • A Consistent secure point of contact for families

  • A safeguarding and quality-assurance presence

This means you get the warmth compassion and continuity of an independent carer, alongside the

reassurance that someone is overseeing standards, communication, and overall wellbeing.

Clear Roles, Shared Values

What the Carer Does

Our associate carers:

  • Provide hands-on care and companionship

  • Work directly with you and your family

  • Use their professional judgement to support your needs

  • Maintain independence and flexibility in how care is delivered

What We Do

  • Carefully match carers and clients

  • Handle administration, invoicing and coordination

  • Provide safeguarding oversight

  • Remain available if concerns or changes arise

This clarity protects everyone involved and allows care to remain human-centred rather

than system-driven.

Why This Model Works So Well

This approach allows us to:

  • Offer continuity of care

  • Avoid rushed visits and rotating staff

  • Support carers to work sustainably and with dignity

  • Keep care personal, calm, and relationship-led

It also means our carers feel valued and supported, not overworked or controlled — and that

shows in the exceptional quality of care they provide.

Care That Feels Like Home

By combining independent carers with thoughtful coordination, compassion and safeguarding,

we offer something rare:
care that feels steady, familiar, and genuinely kind.

If at any point you have questions, concerns, or changing needs,

we remain here — quietly holding the structure so your care can remain gentle and consistent.

"Dr. Tune was looked after wonderfully by Coxwold Home Care.
Dr Tune was treated with the upmost dignity in a very caring way, always being sensitive to his needs. Stacey increased her hours as required until working around the clock caring for Dr Tune in his final days.

Our Caring Journey

Coxwold Homecare Services didn’t come from a business plan — it grew from real relationships, real people, and the kind of care that can only be learned by being there, at the most important moments in someone’s life.

My work has naturally evolved over time, and today my personal focus sits deeply within end-of-life care.

I support individuals and their families through the final chapter of life with calm, presence, and dignity — offering not just practical care, but emotional and physical comfort during a time that can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and often unsupported.

This is where my work is most rooted.

With over 25 years of experience in elderly care — including dementia, complex health needs, and end-of-life support — I bring a steady, grounded approach to those nearing the end of life. My role often includes bedside presence, gentle reassurance, support with repositioning, hydration and comfort, and holistic techniques such as massage and relaxation to ease distress and settle the nervous system.

There is no rush in this work. No unnecessary noise. Just quiet, respectful care that honours both the individual and the process they are moving through.

Alongside this, Coxwold Homecare Services allows me to extend that same standard of care more broadly.

I have built a small, trusted network of self-employed carers and companions — people who work alongside me, not as a large agency, but as part of a carefully held service. These individuals support clients with day-to-day needs such as personal care, medication assistance, cooking, companionship, outings, and household support, ensuring continuity and familiarity within the home.

This means families are supported not just at the end, but throughout the full journey.

We work closely alongside district nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure each person remains as comfortable as possible, with care that is joined-up, respectful, and centred around the client’s wishes — including those who prefer to remain at home and avoid hospitalisation wherever possible.

Coxwold Homecare has grown quietly over the past two years, building a strong local reputation for reliability, compassion, and deeply personal care.

The intention is not to become a large service.

It is to remain intentional.

To offer something steady, human, and genuinely supportive — especially at the times when it matters most.

And to continue creating space for like-hearted, self-employed carers to work alongside me, while I hold and lead the more complex, sensitive work at the heart of it.
